Welcome to the 35th
Annual Canal Run 2010 Web site!
The Canal Run and 10 Mile
Walk is held along the Portage Waterway on Highway
M-203. Both the 10 Mile Run and the 10 Mile Walk start
at McLain State Park and finish at Citizen's Bank
building in Hancock. The 5 Mile Run/Walk starts near High
Point Road in Hancock. The course is not closed to
traffic. Participants are asked to run along side of the
road. Water stops and aid stations will be set along the
length of the course, at miles 2, 5, 7, 9 and 9.5.
Timing chips will be worn at the event provided by ITiming.
There will be
a Pre-Race All-you-can-Eat Pasta Dinner on Friday, July
16th from 5 - 8 at the Mannerheim Cafe on the campus of
Finlandia University. This year's dinner
will be hosted and catered by the
Keweenaw Co-op
Natural Foods Market & Deli.
The evenings event will include local live entertainment
and raffle prizes from local businesses. We hope to see
you there!
